35 new stars shine on the peninsula, with two new restaurants in Campania awarded 2 Michelin stars: Tre Olivi and Krèsios.


The 67th edition of the Italian Michelin Guide was released on November 23, 2021. The exciting ceremony celebrated the awards of 35 rising stars and the extraordinary achievement of Paestum's Tre Olivi restaurant, which holds two Michelin stars and joins the Michelin Guide family directly.


The 14 regions of the peninsula are most represented by 35 new stars. Campania stands out in terms of the number of awards (8 new stars) and the two newly selected 2-Michelin-starred restaurants.

Thus, the Michelin Guide Italy 2022 includes 2 new locations with two Michelin stars and 33 new restaurants with one Michelin star, for a total of 378 Michelin-starred restaurants. 11 three Michelin stars have been confirmed.

The live-streamed event was hosted by Fjona Cakalli, and Federica Pellegrini as Michelin Group ambassador announced the winners of the 17 Michelin Green Stars, an award given to restaurants that are particularly committed to more sustainable cuisine. 33 new Michelin stars

The Guide has added 33 Michelin-starred restaurants, bringing the total number of Michelin-starred restaurants to 329 in 2022. This selection is characterized by vigorous vitality and the emergence of a new generation of chefs in their 30s. Of these newcomers, 16 restaurants are run by chefs under the age of 35. Five of the chefs are under 30 years old.

Green Michelin Star
